Eddy Merckx Wins - AGAIN! - This Time In Lausanne Featured

LAUSANNE - The Olympic stronghold Lausanne was the stage for the annual event with world class players in three cushion from November 22-25. The Belgian Eddy Merckx won the Lausanne Billard Masters in the final against Turk Murat Naci Coklu. This same week billiards presented itself as a candidate for the Olympic Games in 2024 in Paris. The promotional tour is in full swing, also on sporting level with all the major international tournaments.

Eddy Merckx Wins World Cup in Seoul Korea Featured

One of the world's best continues to demonstrate his fierce competitive spirit. On the final day of the 2018 Seoul World Cup Belgium's Eddy Merckx defeated world champion Dick Jaspers in his semi-final round and followed that with a win over former world champion Filippos Kasidokostas of Greece to take the title. The event had many exciting and dramatic moments including a high run of 24 by Myung Woo Cho, and the incredible performance of Bong Chul Kim who reached the semi-finals having entered in the pre-pre-qualification round.

Dick Jaspers is the Next Survivor Among the 3C Masters Featured

The Netherlands' Dick Jaspers has added the $50,000 first place prize to his growing list of accomplishments as he wins the third installment of the 3C Masters Survival tournament held in Guri Korea. The Dutchman's win follows the previous two installments of this new format, won by Eddie Merckx and Dani Sanchez, and further adds to the European players dominance in International competition.

Mazin Shooni Wins Dennis Dieckman Memorial Tournament Featured

US Billiard players honored the memory of the great cue builder Dennis Dieckman with a memorial tournament October 19-21, 2018. Held at Amazin Billiards in Malden Massachusetts the event attracted 18 players from all parts of the USA. Mazin Shooni, former US Champion and owner of Amazin Billiards was the winner.
