Dani Sanchez Wins 20th Spanish Title

Dani Sánchez (2nd from right above) has captured the Spanish three cushion title for the 20th time in his career. He achieved this milestone in a superior final match against Ricardo Garcia. Sánchez won 40-14 in 13 innings and again left no doubt about his being the best Spanish billiard player ever.

Ludo Kools in Shocking Triumph to Win Dutch Jumbo Masters

He could hardly hold back his tears on the final podium at the Dutch championship, when the national anthem sounded through the arena. The wonderfully happy Brabant player Ludo Kools, the 53-year-old rookie at the Jumbo Masters, crowned a bizarre adventure on the final day with the Dutch three-cushion title. He was a brilliant winner, an unlikely champion, rewarded with a ticket for the World Championships in Korea.

Even the legendary Belgian Raymond Ceulemans, with his 21 world titles in three-cushion billiards, has never earned that much with his rich record of championships as what the not even world-famous Juan David Zapata was overjoyed with on the podium of the PBA Tour on Saturday 6 March 2021, in South Korea.

Frederic Caudron Wins His Second PBA Championship Event

Frederic Caudron dominated the final match over Filippos Kasidokostas in a 4-0 victory that gave him his second PBA Championship win. The event known as the TS Shampoo PBA Championship was played over an extended period due to Covid restrictions. But even Caudron's mask could not hide the joy he felt in winning the tournament.

Ngo Dinh Nai of Vietnam Wins UMB Virtual Tournament

Continuiing the dominance of Vietnamese players during the strange Covid-safe 2020 billiards season, Ngo Dinh Nai was crowned champion of the UMB Virtual One Carom Challenge 3-cushion tournament  on September 18. He beat number one seeded Belgian Roland Forthomme in an intense final to take the prize.
