Belgian Frederic Caudron, the best known player in the newly formed PBA league in Korea has won his first event. The TS Shampoo tournament was the 4th in the fledgling organizations ambitious schedule. After three disappointing results at the start of the league play, Caudron finally found his rhythm to top the field and score a big win and the $84,800 first place prize.

Myung-woo Cho, the 21-year old former Junior world champion from Korea has won the fifth installment of the LG U+ Cup held September 5-7, 2019 in a shopping mall in Hanam. That last bit is no joke, as the event sponsored by LG really gets right out to the people with spectators strolling by as they shop! Along the way Cho demonstrated his dominance over some of the world's top players and clearly established himself as a future star to reckon with on the International 3-cushion billiards circuit.

Won-jun Choi, another somewhat obscure Korean 3-cushion player has won the third event in the newly formed Professional Billiards Assocation (PBA). Many of the world class European players who have elected to give up playing in UMB events in favor of the opportunities in the newly formed league ended far down in the rankings this time around. When, if ever, will they regain their dominance?

Eddy Merckx played an astonishing final match against fellow Belgian Roland Forthomme and Koreans Haeng-Jik Kim and Jae-Ho Cho to win the third Survival 3C Masters event of 2019. His final score of 132 was the highest ever scored in this event. Merckx took home the first place prize of $50,000 and further cemented his reputation as a fierce competitor and world-class 3-cushion talent.
